The harvest has ended, wheat has high-quality

This year's harvest has been completed. The previously expected 4 million tons of wheat is in the granaries. The quality is good, or excellent – Czerván György State Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) told MTI on Monday.

The yield corresponds to the previous year’s. Due to the adverse weather conditions, this year’s per hectare yield is lower than last year’s: 3.7 tons per hectare, while the harvested area was 100 thousand hectares more this year. Winter wheat was sown on a total of 1.081 million hectares – the Secretary of State told. (MTI)
