End of masculine internet in Hungary?
The “male dominance” that was experienced in the previous years almost completely disappeared from the online world. In Hungary, the internet habits of men and women broadly consistent with the average of the EU Member States. The current “Report of the Internet Economy” research of eNet – Telekom is dealing with the Internet usage habits of men and women.
According to the research, the computers become part of the lives of men than women earlier. While 34 percent of the regular Internet user men use the computer for more than 15 years, this figure is 27 percent for women. Now women are gradually increasing their online presence, the typical male dominance is disappearing. Now the ratio of genders is balanced, and if the current trend continues, in the near future women will be the dominant in the online world.
