Nestlé Develops Vegan Cheese And Bacon For Burgers
Nestlé has announced that it has developed plant-based cheese and bacon alternatives that will complement its existing vegan burger patties.
With the new development, the food giant has produced vegan alternatives for all three essential ingredients required for a bacon cheeseburger.
The move is part of Nestlé’s efforts to accelerate the transformation of its portfolio to include more innovative, and sustainable products.
It also in line with its pledge to achieve zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
Branded as ‘PB triple play’, the product will be initially rolled out to professional clients such as restaurant and foodservice operators in 2020.
