VAT cut: are UHT and ESL milks up next?
The 2018 budget envisages lowering the VAT on fish. NAK president Balázs Győrffy informed that the chamber would like to see the VAT on milk products reduced. Experts say this would take out approximately HUF 18-20 billion from the nation’s budget, while cutting the VAT on other dairy products would create a HUF 50-billion bigger hole in the budget.
