Cigarettes were found in rail freight cargoes
The finance guards found cigarettes in containers containing iron ore – the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) told MTI.
According to the statement, in recent weeks, cigarettes were found in two cargo freight carriers from Ukraine near Eperjeske. The smuggled goods were half a meter down into the iron ore.
One time more than 7 million cigarettes, and later about 3.5 million forints worth cigarettes were found in the freight trains – they added.
The finance guards seized more than 10,000 packs of cigarettes and filed a lawsuit against an unknown offender because of fiscal fraud – the announcement says. (MTI)
