Coop Switzerland opens railway logistics hub in Zurich

Coop has established a new railway logistics hub in the Hartfeld district of Zurich, which will make it possible to supply more than 70 stores by freight train. By partially replacing road transport, the company is reducing traffic by around 58,000 truckloads per year and cutting CO2 emissions by 80%. Two-thirds of Coop’s nationwide supply is already transported by rail.
