Businesses are expecting double-digit “corporate inflation” this year – they are looking for a way out with organizational development and export markets
“Anyone who has survived the past year or two as an entrepreneur in Hungary is considered a real hero,” says András Avidor, business development and networking expert. Moreover, according to expectations, residential consumption will only pick up momentum again very slowly, and inflation affecting companies will certainly remain in double digits this year as well.
It is a big question, what breakthrough opportunities can domestic SMEs find in order to compensate for the challenging economic environment and even to grow. At the same time, smart entrepreneurs are inspired by good practices and try to stay one step ahead of the market by relying on their reserves. Is it worth looking abroad now, how can resources be expanded by building relationships and why is burnout an increasingly pressing problem among entrepreneurs? BNI, which has introduced a business culture based on knowledge sharing in our country, has compiled what Hungarian SMEs are expected to focus on in 2024. According to a recent survey, Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises are still not characterized by excessive optimism: while they are confident that the labor situation will improve in 2024 and corporate loan interest rates will be more favorable, the confidence index of SMEs is still at minus 6 points – especially service providers , as well as industrial and commercial companies prove to be short-sighted.
