Sunday closure: the National Electoral Commission refused to authenticate the signatures on the referendum
The National Electoral Commission (NVB) at its Friday meeting refused to authenticate the signatures on the referendum.
Szepessy Zsolt, chairman of the Összefogás Párt (Unity Party) sought the national referendum on the folowing question to put to a public vote: Do you agree that all multinational companies to be open on Sunday? The members of the NVB at their Friday meeting considered that the question does not meet the requirement of clarity. According to the proposed law the question of a referendum shall be formulated so that it can be a clear answer. (MTI)
