Shopper-friendly opening hours during the holidays: all ALDI stores will be open until noon on December 24th

ALDI will also ensure the availability of basic foodstuffs, ingredients, holiday preparations and gifts in the days leading up to Christmas. Fresh goods will arrive in all stores on December 24, 2025, and the stores will be open until 12 p.m. on that day. With this flexible solution, ALDI enables customers in a wide range of life situations – from those working different shifts, large families to single retirees – to conveniently purchase the last ingredients and surprises for the Christmas menu, tailored to their own schedule. The morning opening hours contribute to a more even distribution of the increased traffic in the days before the holidays, thus providing a smooth and relaxed shopping experience for customers in all stores of the department store chain. In the spirit of responsibility towards its employees, the majority of ALDI employees, approximately 70%, have their day off on December 24. The shortened, uninterrupted operation of the 187 stores is ensured by approximately 30% of the staff, who can start preparing for Christmas Eve in time after closing at noon.

ALDI will also be waiting for customers with fresh goods on the last day of the year, the stores will be open until 4:00 p.m., so it is possible to purchase products for New Year’s Eve or the New Year’s menu in the early afternoon. With these opening hours, ALDI is also facilitating a smooth transition into the new year.
