Acquisition with strict conditions
Edeka group, the biggest supermarket chain Germany buys Tengelmann Kaiser’s supermarkets. There are strict conditions for the acquisition, though: Edeka must guarantee that 97 percent of the 16,000 employees in the 450 Kaiser’s supermarkets keep their job in the next 5 years. Plus the group isn’t allowed to sell the stores in the next 5 years.
