Warsaw named Europe’s number one city destination by 2026
Warsaw has received significant international recognition: the Polish capital has taken first place in the ranking of the American edition of Forbes entitled European Cities of the Future: 10 Places To Visit In 2026. The list collects the most promising, forward-looking urban destinations in Europe, Warsaw has surpassed iconic cities such as Vienna, Madrid, Monaco, Porto or Edinburgh.
The ranking was compiled based on an analysis by European Best Destinations, which examined 58 European cities. The evaluation took into account the city’s atmosphere, pedestrian-friendly environment, cultural and gastronomic offerings, safety, transport accessibility and the overall tourist experience.
According to Forbes, the key to Warsaw’s success is a consistent, long-term urban development strategy. Modern infrastructure and contemporary architecture are harmoniously connected to extensive green spaces, while the city is livable, safe and continues to offer competitive prices as a European capital.
In addition to the vibrant cultural life, museums, creative districts and public spaces along the Vistula, the Varso Tower, the tallest building in the European Union, will emerge as a new icon, further strengthening Warsaw’s position among Europe’s dynamically developing cities.
