Balázs Várkonyi joins Avokado
Balázs Várkonyi enters into a strategic cooperation with Avokado, so ED Group Kft. acquires a stake in the popular shopping platform. With the association, they plan to transform the image of domestic online retail, their goal is to take 5-10% out of the FMCG sector.
Avokado rethinks the online shopping experience from the ground up, its mission is to make the purchase of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) products simpler and more efficient for customers. On the interface, you can choose from the products of several different retailers at store prices during a single purchase, and the personalized package will be delivered to your home by a courier at one time, even within a few hours.
The goal of the partnership is clear: to create an FMCG platform that, in addition to meeting the broad needs of customers, also helps retailers enter the digital market and expand their customer base.
“Our cooperation is not only a business step, but another milestone on the path of innovation and efficiency improvement. Even before the launch of Avokado, we decided to develop and adapt something similar to the model of the Instacart shopping platform, popular in the United States, with its excellently functioning, multifaceted system and technology, adapted to the needs of the Hungarian market. We believe that the newly concluded partnership will also play a role in this endeavor.”
– Szabina Matócza, managing director of Avokado, expressed her opinion.
