Varga Mihály: 25 percent VAT is the long-term goal
According to the Minister of National Economy, the 27 percent VAT rate is high, but there is no free resources available to reduce it in next year's budget.
The government's long-term intention is to reduce the higher VAT rate to 25 percent or less.
Varga Mihály, Minister of National Economy gave interview to the Thursday issue of Figyelő weekly magazine saying that the government's tax philosophy is based on to put less tax on incomes, and to keep consumption taxes on level. (MTI)
