There is still a reserve in Hungarian sunflower
Although the volume of sunflower decreased by 2 million tonnes to 45 million tonnes globally last year, there is still a strong demand for the plants.
Hungarian farmers also performed well last year: their yield rate of 2.84 tonnes per hectare is the second best result of all time. In addition to market developments, the continuously developed hybrids and plant protection solutions offer favorable positions for this year as well – according to the sunflower prognosis of the market leader Syngenta.
