Festipay: You do not even need a card

The Festipay expects a total of 10 million contactless transactions in 2017 in 26 festivals – the payment technology company told Portfolio. There is already an event where you do not need a separate card: you can pay with the armband for entry.

According to the company’s forecast, nearly 26 million contactless transactions are expected in 2017 in 26 festivals. Last year, Festipay served a total of 22 festivals, where 7 million contactless payment transactions were carried out.

The Festipay – which was founded in 2015 by Cardnet and Sziget – is heavily present on the Romanian market abroad, this year transports payment systems for 7 festivals. (portfolio.hu)
