Vámos György: small shops are the losers of the last few years
The commercial consumption in Hungary decreased steadily between 2007 and 2012, it can remain on level this year and a growth can come in 2014 – Vámos György, general secretary of the National Retail Federation (OKSZ) told in its presentation at the Retail Conference at Siófok.
The specialist also talked about the fact that since 2006 the number of commercial outlets was reduced by ten thousand, so zheir number is 154 thousand currently. The biggest losers of the process were small shops. The downturn affected the investment as well, only a low number of businesseswere able to modernize their outlets.
