The transformation of tourism
According to the study of the European Travel Commission and the World Tourism Organisation; the future of tourism is being transformed by the increasing of population, the increasing average age, the changing household structure and migration.
It is forecasted that by 2030, the earth's population will be 8.3 billion people and while in most of the world the average age increases, the household and family structures have become increasingly diverse, migration also redraws the image of the societies. These also change the tourists 'types'; where they come from and where they travel, the hotel types and activities they are looking for – the Hungarian National Tourist Office presented the study – reports MTI.
