The AutoWallis Group sold 8 percent more vehicles in 2024, closing another strong year for the company listed in the Premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange. The Retail Business Unit showed the greatest expansion, in which new and used vehicle sales increased by more than 20 percent. In addition to organic development, the acquisitions completed last year also contributed to the growth of the region’s leading integrated car sales and mobility service provider, and the increasingly diversified portfolio of the regional company is a sure foundation for further stable growth.

The AutoWallis Group, listed in the Premium category of the Budapest Stock Exchange, closed a strong year in 2024, after the number of vehicles sold by the group increased by 7.7 percent to 48,386 units. The Retail Business Unit achieved the largest growth: it increased its new vehicle sales by more than a fifth (+21.9%) to 9,637, while used car sales increased even more (+24%) to 2,553 units. The excellent performance is based on AutoWallis’ updated strategy presented in 2024: organic growth was also significant last year, supported by the acquisition of three BMW dealerships of the Czech NC Auto (Stratos) closed in early July, as well as the sales figures of the newly opened Renault and Dacia dealerships in Budapest in the fall. In addition to the increase in AutoWallis’ regional role, the figures clearly show that the diversified portfolio allows for an expansion that is even greater than the domestic market growth (12.9%*). In the Retail Business Unit’s service area, the number of service hours increased by 16.9 percent to 210,249, with the Czech acquisition and the new Dacia and Renault dealership in Budapest contributing nearly 11 percent. The AutoWallis Mobility Services Business Unit (which includes the Group’s short- and long-term car rental and fleet management) increased the number of rental events by two and a half times to 376,225 thanks to the acquisition of wigo carsharing in 2023. The average fleet size of the AutoWallis Group decreased by 3.7 percent to 3,830 vehicles, primarily as a result of fleet rationalization, while the 1.9 percent increase in the number of rental days, together with the reduction in fleet size, indicates improved operational efficiency. The Wholesale Business Unit increased its sales by 3.6 percent to 36,196 units in 2024: among the brands represented, Renault contributed the most to the Group’s expansion with 7,001 vehicles sold, which is 24 percent higher than the brand’s 2023 figures. In addition, the Jaguar, Land Rover brands (+28.6%) and Opel (+3.5%) also performed well. Compared to its outstanding performance in 2023, SsangYong performed less well in 2024 (-6.1%), which was mainly due to the brand’s outstanding figures in the first quarter of 2023 due to a delivery carried over from the previous year. The decrease in the business unit’s sales in the first quarter of last year, attributable to this base effect and one-off items (increase in sea transport time), was recovered by the business unit in the remainder of the year, and from the second quarter to the end of the year it sold 3,894 more vehicles than in the same period in 2023.
