Distributors say AI could be a game changer in the fruit supply chain
AI technology has the potential to change the supply chain for produce and fresh fruit, according to fruit and vegetable distributors.

At this year’s International Food and Drink Event in London, executives from Fruitnet, Dole UK, Worldwide Fruit and quality control service Clarifruit discussed the impact AI could have on the sector. They agreed that common challenges in the supply chain, such as grading produce for quality could be made more efficient and faster through increased accuracy using AI technology. AI can help not only to detect potential external defects, but also to see inside the product. //
