Crisis do not put a large effect on the toilet paper and paper handkerchiefs consumption
The retail sales of household paper increased by 10 percent between July 2008 and June, 2009, compared to the previous comparable period, and exceeded of 42 billion forints – states the Nielsen market research company.
Acording to Nielen Market Research Company; the volume of toilet paper retail sales fell 1 percent, but the value has increased 10 percent, reaching 22 billion forints, because of the 13 percent price increase.The retail sales volume of paper handkerchiefs increased by 1 percent in volume and by 7 percent in value, and exceeded 10 billion forints per year.
The annual market size of napkin is around 3 billion. While the value of retail sales increased by 2 percent, a 4 percent decline in volume has occured.
