Hungary foreign trade turnover on its pre-crisis level
In the first quarter of 2011 the volume of foreign trade increased significantly, exports by 18, while imports by 16 percent, compared to the level of the previous year – reports the Central Statistical Office.
The trade balance surplus was 562 billion HUF (2,071 million euros), which is 174 billion HUF (614 million euros) more than in the same period of 2010. In the first three-month export value became 5,456 billion HUF (20 billion euros) and the value of import became 4,893 billion HUF (18 billion euros). With these figures, the forint value of exports and imports exceeded the level before the Great Depression.
