Corporate governance is a key issue for competitiveness
The role of corporate governance is decisive in competitiveness as corporate executives can do a lot for the efficient management of resources – Pleschinger Gyula, president of the Hungarian Economy Association, member of the Monetary Council of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) said at the Corporate Governance in Superlatives 2017 conference in Budapest, on Wednesday.
At the joint event of the University of Óbuda and the Hungarian Economy Association, Pleschinger Gyula noted that when the national bank purchased the Budapest Stock Exchange from the Austrian owner, it was not a secret aim of “letting life” to the “dying capital market”. As he said, with taking over the stock market and organizing business events they also seek to provide the best practices to the business leaders. (MTI)
