Valentine's Day: mainly the younger and higher-income households buy praline
According to the datas of the GfK Hungária’s Household Panel survey, the demand for chocolate bars and pralines can be increased with even 70 percent during the Valentine’s Day period in February. The manufacturers and distributors are trying to attract the customers with strong communication, unique packaging and price discounts.
Chocolate manufacturers and distributors expect a high turnover on Valentine’s day which is considered as the celebration of love. Although Valentine's Day generates more turnover than the average, mainly in the volume of chocolate bars and pralines, GfK Hungária’s Household Panel also shows that the turnover is below the turnover of the Christmas and Easter period
