SAP and Coursera put application development in the hands of business users
The launch of SAP Build was announced as part of the SAP TechEd conference held in Las Vegas, through which even average users can develop applications to automate certain processes of their business software.
SAP Build is a development environment with a low code requirement – the so-called “low code” – the essence of which is that users can assemble their own applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform using the “drag and drop” method from modular elements, using thousands of templates, without programming skills, so sparing the company budget, or even relieving the increased waiting lists for company developers after the pandemic.
SAP Build provides unified developer access to the low code solutions inherent in SAP’s business platforms. Business users get easy-to-use tools to create applications themselves, for example to automate their business processes, to ensure data movement between subsystems, to review certain events or to customize input interfaces. The solution also includes more than 1,300 pre-built industry and business process templates to accelerate development.
“The demand for professional developers worldwide exceeds the available capacities, and it is no different in Hungary. SAP Build equips business users to perform specific development tasks, saving customers time and money.”
– summarizes the essence of the announcement in Las Vegas, Pintér Szabolcs, the CEO of SAP Hungary.
