Tesco closes stores in the Czech Republic
The British Tesco supermarket chain closes two large stores in the Czech Republic soon. As the result of the closure of the Supermarkets in Ústí nad Labem and Prague, 102 people will lost their jobs – Tesco’s trade union federation announced on Tuesday in Prague.
The closure of the Tesco stores in the Czech Republic was announced after the British company's boss, Dawe Lewis announced a major restructuring program, due to the problems in England. The program contains investment restrictions, redundancies and the closure of stores abroad. In Hungary, the Tesco will close thirteen of its stores. (Kokes János, MTI)
