GLS Hungary put its thousandth parcel machine into operation
GLS Hungary put into operation its 1,000th parcel vending machine in the Allee shopping center in Budapest, making it the first among the parcel logistics service providers available in Hungary to reach this milestone – the company announced to MTI.
At the same time, they indicated that even more machines are needed for optimal coverage, so they will continue to expand the network in 2023.
With the rise of e-commerce, parcel logistics service providers have to satisfy more and more diverse needs, for which the expansion and modernization of the range of services and infrastructure is essential. GLS Hungary has installed almost 800 new parcel machines in the past year.
Péter Várszegi, head of GLS Hungary’s CsomagPont department, added: 21 percent of the devices operated in 426 settlements are located in the capital, 31 percent are located in county seats, and the remaining 48 percent are located in smaller and larger settlements.
