GLS Hungary has put its 2000th parcel locker into operation
GLS Hungary announced that it has put its 2,000th parcel machine into operation, which is located in MOM Park in Budapest. The company now operates a total of 3,050 GLS parcel machines and parcel points in more than 630 settlements across the country. The continuous expansion of the network remains a key part of the company’s strategy to make flexible parcel management solutions available to as many people as possible in Hungary.
GLS Hungary is committed to making flexible parcel management solutions available to as many people as possible across the country. One significant milestone in this regard is the 2,000th GLS Machine that has just been put into operation, which is located in MOM Park in Budapest. Although this machine is located in a busy location in the capital, it is worth noting that only 18% of GLS parcel machines operate in Budapest. The network expansion covers all corners of the country, from large cities to smaller villages.
“I can say on behalf of all my colleagues that we are very proud of the commissioning of the 2000th GLS Automata, as this is also an important and telling milestone towards our goal of providing as many customers as possible with a suitable and convenient collection method, be it door-to-door, GLS Automata or GLS CsomagPont.”
– said Attila Balázs, Managing Director of GLS Hungary. He added:
“This result also praises the exceptional work and dedication of my colleagues, who are constantly working to ensure that GLS services represent the highest possible standard, for which I would like to thank them. We are proud that we have doubled the number of our parcel machines in one and a half years, thus bringing our services even closer to our customers.”
Currently, the company operates a total of about 3,050 delivery points in more than 630 settlements, which means that there is at least one GLS delivery point in every fifth Hungarian settlement.
