Nébih is helping the wood trade companies with a guide
The National Food Chain Safety Authority (NABIH) is providing an online guide to help wood traders to operate in compliance with Hungarian and EU legislation, the office’s head of department told M1 news channel on Thursday.
Nagy Dániel said that wood traders have to register and keep track of the stocks they buy and who they sell them to.
The purpose of the register is to prevent illegally harvested timber from entering the trading system, thereby protecting both system participants and customers, he said. (MTI)
