The payment of agricultural subsidies to farmers is progressing according to schedule
The sector ended last year with record payments, and the disbursement of agricultural subsidies is proceeding according to schedule this year as well – indicated Anikó Juhász. The Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, responsible for agricultural economy, explained that the Hungarian Treasury has already paid out a total of nearly HUF 42 billion to more than 33,000 farmers in connection with last year’s unified applications.
Anikó Juhász said at the Gyöngyös stop of the professional event organized as part of the Agrárköösség – MATE roadshow that the new set of conditions of the Common Agricultural Policy requires significant adaptation from both the institutional system contributing to the implementation and the farmers. At the same time, the time-proportional performance of payments and their amount also keep the level compared to the previous year. He also mentioned that in the next subsidy year, the electronic submission of the data in the farming diary, which is necessary for payment, will be based on new foundations based on the experiences of this year’s student year of the agricultural subsidy system. According to what was published on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture on Wednesday evening, all producers were assured by data reconciliation until March 14 to fulfill their obligation, which is a subsidy eligibility condition for the main titles of the 2023 uniform applications. The data can be reconciled through Nébih, he added.
