NAV collects the tax even by the side of the road

Attila Suller, speaker of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) informed our magazine that in March-April 2014 there were about 300 cases when excise officers seized trucks, cars, various goods and machinery after on-spot checks. In about two thirds of non-payment cases drivers paid the toll on site, but in the rest of the cases NAV’s officers seized items in a value above HUF 200 million.
