Celebration and worries at the Europe's Day In Commerce
Europe's Day In Commerce has been organized for the 6th time in Budapest on 3rd November this year. The event was organized by VOSZ and the Hungarian facility of Eurocommerce, along with a number of smaller commercial unites.
Besides celebrating, on Europe's Day in Commerce complaints were also voiced. Dr. Rainhardt von Leoprechting, president of EuroCommerce pointed out his worries concerning the government's fiscal politics. He expressed his concern that supertax might be a case of bad discrimination against foreign companies. In his opinion, the six multinational companies concerned were the ones who brought about a new era of trade, with services of international standards. “Protectionism has never led to a way out of recession, in fact it's just the other way around” – he added.
