The logistics giant is in a festive mood: children’s drawings decorate the DSV warehouse
DSV’s Hungarian warehouse logistics division, DSV Solutions Hungary Kft., came up with a unique initiative that not only brings joy to children, but also to employees as Christmas approaches. The company decided to decorate the ends of its rows of warehouse racks with drawings by the children of their employees.
The origin of the idea is not new at the company, as they have been announcing drawing competitions on the occasion of Santa Claus and Children’s Day for years. For these, they usually expect their employees’ children between the ages of 3 and 14 to submit their works. However, this kind of decoration of the ends of warehouse rack rows has never been seen before. The great interest did not remain at the drawing competition organized for the fifth time this year, on the occasion of Santa Claus. On this occasion alone, nearly half a hundred applications were received.
“The management made this unique decision because we found that the employees appreciate it when they can see their children’s works outside on the bulletin boards on the walls of the warehouse and are a little sad when the drawings are removed because we have to make room for other information”
– said Árpád Darvasi, managing director of DSV Solutions Hungary Kft.
