EU food labeling: nutrient composition will be indicated on prepackaged food

The Member States supported the compromise on food labeling, which was created between the Hungarian presidency and the European Parliament (EP) – states the Ministry of Rural Development (VM).

The new measures are designed to help the consumers in selecting what is the healthy food for them. The plenary session of the European Parliamernt is expected to adopt the new EU regulation on food labeling on the 5th of July – reports MTI.
