Unilever: “Poverty will return to Europe”
“Poverty will return to Europe”- said Jan Zijderveld, European Director of Unilever group in the Monday issue of Financial Times Deutschland. The company known mostly for its Knorr, Rama and Coral brands is compelled to re-evaluate its business strategy.
Jan Zijderveld told in the interview, that they want to apply the Asian business model: they want to sell their goods in small portions on lower prices, instead of selling expensive premium products.
“If a Spanish spends an average of 17 euros during a purchase, we cannot offer detergents for her for half of the total purchasing cost.” – Zijderveld added. (MTI)
