Unilever: the Hungarian plant being developed, the Czech plant will be closed
Unilever will close its factory in the Czech Republic – announced the company recently. According to the food, consumer goods and household chemical products manufacturer, British-Dutch-owned group the decision was justified with cost savings.
It was reported in May, that at the Unilever Hungary Ltd. the Nyírbátor factory will be transformed into a strategic plant. The company spent 8 million euros, about 2.4 billion HUF on development. Unilever’s Nyírbátor factory became one of Europe's largest plant. With the new production lines, the capacity has increased with 50 percent and the goods are transported into 30 European countries – reports Világgazdaság Online.
