Amazon to launch ultra-fast delivery service in UK
Amazon is reportedly retrofitting nine of its existing depots in order to handle fresh produce and fulfil grocery orders within hours. The service is said to be a merging of Amazon Fresh and Prime Now.
The report also states that Amazon was aiming to offer the ultra-fast service to almost 40% of UK households before the end of the year. Amazon’s Prime Now service is currently available in nine cities including Leeds, London, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle.
