Strict Ukrainian rules for the meat-industry
Ukraine has announced that the country would only allow the delivery of meat-products that have been examined by the controllers of the authority. The new rule takes effect on 23rd July – as reported by the State Committee on Veterinary Medicine.
The aim of the rule is to avoid infected foreign-produced animal products that may carry certain viruses, and get rid of extra meat that cannot be sold. Apart from that, border-crossings should be supplied with the equipment required for the safe disposal of products presumed hazardous.
