The manufacturing plant that produced Túro Rudi, relaunched
From August the Túró Rudi factory in Nagybánhegyes can produce again. The plant owned by Friesland Hungary Ltd. known for producing Túró Rudi closed in 2007.
Friesland, meanwhile sold the plant to a Hungarian investment group. It is planned that the Cheese Hungary Ltd. will operate the plant. According to Popa István Lucián, the managing director of the company the plant will produce cheese, Bán cheese, mozzarella, cheese roll, and subsequently also produce parenica if the market needs it. The plant management is building its own past experts. It is expected to employ 50-70 people. The installation of the machines will soon begin. The products will be intended for export, but they also discussing with Hungarian-owned chains of stores – reports Origo.
