Swine fever attacks again near the Hungarian-Romanian border
African swine fever has appeared again in Romania: the disease is only a few kilometers away from the Hungarian border and the Ukrainian border. The disease was detected in Mikola (Micula), Szatmár county – according to the Romanian press.
Two days after the virus was identified, the veterinary authority immediately slaughtered 13 pigs raised on the farm and burnt the carcasses.
In the area of the infected farm, all measures that requires to disinfect and prevent the spread of the virus have been taken. (MTI)
