Lufthansa workers are on strike again, flight cancellations are expected
Lufthansa’s ground staff are on a warning strike from Thursday to Saturday, which also involves flight cancellations.
The work stoppage announced by the Verdi union on Monday will begin at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday and end at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, MTI reported.
About 25,000 employees of the ground staff are demanding an increase in hourly wages of 2.8 euros (1,100 forints) in addition to an increase in overtime pay. To support their demands, Verdi has already held two warning strikes in the recent period.
