Low-cost airlines are soaring again
Ryanair and WizzAir are both popular right now.
In August, Ryanair closed the strongest month in the airline’s history, carrying 18.9 million passengers, 11% more than the previous year. Flight utilization remained at 96%, and although 103,000 flights were operated, only 350 had to be canceled due to an error in the British NATS air traffic control system, which represents a completion rate of 99.997%.
At Wizz Air, the number of passengers increased even more sharply, by 24%, in August 6.1 million chose the domestic discount airline’s flights. The utilization rate increased from 90.5% to 94.1%, and the airline’s fulfillment rate was 99.6%.
