Milk’s purchasing price grows again
In August 2016 agricultural production prices decreased by 2.6 percent from the level of August 2015 – reported the Central Statistical Office (KSH). This decrease was driven by the price of vegetable products reducing by 5.5 percent. Livestock/products of animal origin prices rose 2.5 percent from the base period level. From December 2015 until July 2016 milk was purchased from farmers at ever-lower prices – by this time the price was down at HUF 66/litre – but in August 2016 it increased to HUF 71/litre. /
