Avian flu has reappeared in Hungary
The National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nebih) confirmed the presence of the H5N8 subtype of avian influenza in a duck farm in Bács-Kiskun County on Wednesday, and veterinary experts have already begun killing the 32,500 stork ducks involved.
According to a report of Nébih published on Thursday, an avian flu virus has been identified in a duck farm near Csólyospálos in Bács-Kiskun County. Over the weekend, the farm experienced increased mortality and clinical signs of the disease. (MTI)
