PENNY was once again awarded the Trusted Employer award
This year, PENNY earned the recognition of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce for the fourth time. The purpose of the award is to draw attention to the importance of workplace conditions, which is why the entrants had to meet the criteria in several areas of human resource management in order to receive recognition. In addition, they also had to prove that they take exemplary care of the working and living conditions of their colleagues.
One of PENNY’s main goals is to strengthen employee loyalty and employ dedicated employees who work wholeheartedly for the company’s success. This is precisely why the food chain tries to support its colleagues with numerous opportunities and employer programs every year. In 2024, the company spent nearly HUF 4 billion on wage improvement, so together with the 17% increase implemented last year, they managed to achieve a total income increase of 27%. In addition, from the middle of this year, it provides a 10% employee discount card to more than 5,000 employees of the chain.
