The owner of the Avas Hotel in Miskolc became the local government again
The owner of the Avas Hotel in Miskolc became the local government again after eighteen years. The city bought back the building for 155 million HUF – the city's mayor said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Kriza Ákos (Fidesz-KDNP) said that the calvary of one of the most significant buildings in the city of Miskolc has ended. The city purchased the hotel back within a liquidators bid process.
He added that the condition of the building has worsened in the past few years, the facade was a threat to the passers-by. The local government plans to re-open the hotel after a renewal. (MTI)
