The plant protection inspector of the regionally competent government office took a sample from a wine grape plantation in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county as part of an intensive reconnaissance. The Nébih laboratory examined the grape leaf samples, and the results confirmed the presence of FD. Control against the disease is still possible only through preventive measures. Nébih calls on producers to continuously monitor their plantations, even after the autumn foliage has fallen. In addition, it is of utmost importance to recognize early symptoms that may indicate FD infection next spring. Nébih calls on producers to comply with plant protection regulations and asks grape growers to immediately report any suspicion of the disease to the authorities, given that golden yellow phytoplasma is a notifiable, quarantine pest.
