ALDI is reducing the prices of several of its popular butter products again from today. As a result of the price drop in the international butter market, the supermarket chain has achieved more favorable purchasing conditions and is passing on the price advantage to its customers. As a result, two popular 250-gram butters will be permanently cheaper by 14% and 20%. The prices of these products have decreased by at least 55% in ALDI stores in the past ten months. 250 grams of tea butter has never been so cheap: the consumer price of 499 forints, valid from today, was last seen by customers before 2018.

ALDI is committed to providing Hungarian customers with permanently low consumer prices. The international price of butter decreased further in December, so ALDI – true to its practice – immediately passes on the savings from lower purchase prices to customers, which is an outstanding help for families during the Christmas period.

Milsani Tea Butter with 82% fat content is available in a 250-gram package at a 20% lower price of 499 forints instead of 625 forints, which is a 58% decrease compared to the price in February 2025. The current price reduction is also a significant step because this product has never been available at such a low price before.

Milsani lactose-free butter in the same package has become 14% cheaper: its price has decreased from 625 forints to 535 forints, which is a 55% decrease compared to February.

During the holiday season, it is particularly important that families have access to the most important ingredients at affordable prices. Since we have achieved more favorable purchase prices, we are permanently reducing the prices of several popular butters and immediately passing the savings on to our customers. In the case of several butters, we have halved the prices this year, which remains our goal: to make good quality available every day at a low price, so that ALDI customers have more money left in their wallets – during the holidays and the rest of the year”

– said Bernhard Haider, national managing director of ALDI Hungary Food Bt.
