New digital market regulation reaches next phase
The European Union has taken another big step towards implementing the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which entered into force last November.

The European Commission (EC) has designated the so-called “gatekeepers”, i.e. large companies that serves an inescapable gateway between businesses and consumers in the online space. These online giants – for instance Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Meta and Google’s parent company Alphabet – now have six months to make their platforms comply with the new EU requirements. The EC’s classification affects a total of 22 core platform services. //
