The world's strongest beer was brewed in Scotland
A Scottish brewery claims to have created the world's strongest beer – a 65 percent super strength alcoholic drink called Armageddon.
The appropriately named beer is likely to leave consumers feeling like it’s the end of the world the next morning, with a pint containing 37 units of alcohol – twice the recommended weekly intake for a man.
Created by Scottish firm Brewmeister, the product is proving so popular with beer fans that there is currently a two-week wait for delivery. Brewmeister says the beer should be 'consumed like a fine whisky', adding: 'Despite being 65 percent, the beer has a lot of flavour – malty, hoppy, slightly sweet and lots of yeast still in the beer.
According to the British Metro newspaper, the previous record holder was a 41 percent beer called Sink The Bismarck! before Armageddon's recent market introduction. (MTI)
