The Liget Center, developed by WING and implemented by FITOUT, was recognized with the Construction Industry Quality Award – according to the project’s press release. One of the most prestigious awards in the Hungarian construction industry was awarded by ÉVOSZ to the complex consisting of three buildings, which is a defining element of the renewed city district of Városliget.

In addition to the reconstruction of the Classic and Auditorium heritage buildings, the investment also included the construction of a new, premium boutique office building, Vitrum. The project simultaneously created a modern, sustainable work environment and preserved the architectural heritage of Hungarian modernism. The complex is home to several tenants, including the RTL Hungary news department and the Wolf Theiss law firm, which is about to move.

The development is also outstanding from a sustainability perspective: the buildings have received an energy efficiency rating of “A” or higher, Vitrum has a BREEAM “Very Good” rating, and the Auditorium has been renovated as a heritage building with nearly zero energy consumption.

The jury also evaluated the collaboration between designers, contractors and developers, as well as the quality of the technical and technological solutions. The project was designed by TIBA Építész Stúdió, and the construction was carried out by FITOUT.

WING also placed emphasis on preserving the cultural values of the area: the relief of István Tar’s “Builders” was restored and the sculpture of Dezső Lányi’s “Construction Workers” was reinstalled.
